Understanding VOMI

Victim & Offender Mitigation Initiative (VOMI), a state-wide program that serves and supports victims through the grief process and educates the victim on victim rights and victim compensation processes so they are aware and understand these rights. So far the VOMI has served over a thousand families with measurable success and has received tremendous volunteer support.

Taking an Active Approach to Healing

Programs & Services

Victim Supportive Services/Homicide 

is a program that will serve and support victims through the grief process and educate victims on victim rights and the victim compensation process. Further, the purpose of this program is to alleviate the severity of emotional anxieties cause by guilt and pain due to grief loss, harm and un-forgiveness for both the victims, and the offenders. CCSN will serve the victim for the first year of their lost (12 months).

Juvenile Offender Reform & Adult Clemency 

This program provides advocacy for juvenile lifers with the possibility of parole (JLWP). CCSN provides supportive services such as but not limited to: attend parole hearings, self-care and guidance through near release date, introduction to the “pin pal” and “inmate adoption” program, prison visits, spiritual support and/or being a mediator/facilitator for the offenders who seek to make amends with the victim. CCSN will also assists the former juvenile with his or her adult clemency process by collecting letters of reference, direct communication with case management, and warden/governor and personal letters of support.
